Truss Competition

As a part of my Statics and Mechanics of Materials class, we designed, laser cut, built, and tested a truss. It was a double plane truss constructed out of high-density fiberboard. Our team of four used a truss simulator and Microsoft Excel to design and calculate the maximum load. The truss held 488 lb. Our team placed 7th of 31 for efficiency.
